Nothofagus: our native forest belongs to this botanical genus. There are different species distributed in the southern hemisphere.

In the surroundings of El Chaltén we find Lengas (Nothofagus pumilio) and Ñires (Nothofagus antarctica), these trees stand out in our native forest.
